“Strong compliance, efficient operations, and quality cultivation systems all work together. Success comes from understanding how every part of the business connects.”

From Cultivation to Operations Management

James began working in Humboldt County cannabis during the medical market era, operating remote cultivation sites in challenging environments with limited infrastructure, generator power, well water systems, and difficult access. What began as hands-on cultivation experience eventually expanded into facility development, compliance management, inventory systems, harvest logistics, licensing support, packaging compliance, and large-scale operational oversight.

Over the course of his career, he became the person ownership relied upon to connect cultivation, compliance, logistics, inventory management, harvest operations, and production planning into a coordinated and efficient operation.

Compliance, Operations & Regulatory Experience

James has supported complex multi-license cannabis operations involving cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution activities. His responsibilities have included METRC oversight, compliance management, inspection preparation, inventory systems, licensing support, facility development, harvest logistics, post-harvest workflows, and operational planning across multiple sites.

Having worked directly with state agencies, county departments, engineering teams, inspectors, and regulatory authorities, he understands the challenges operators face while navigating California’s regulatory environment.

Building Systems That Work

One of James’s proudest accomplishments has been helping operate multiple cultivation sites simultaneously while consistently producing high-quality cannabis and successfully navigating California’s regulatory environment. Operating remote farms required balancing cultivation, compliance, logistics, labor management, infrastructure limitations, and production goals while maintaining organized and efficient operations.

From off-grid farms and nursery systems to harvest logistics, compliance oversight, and production planning, his focus has always been on building systems that support long-term success in one of the most challenging and heavily regulated cannabis markets in the country.
