I am a cannabis operations consultant with more than 14 years of hands-on experience in California’s cannabis industry. Since beginning in Humboldt County in 2011, my work has grown from direct cultivation into commercial production systems, regulatory compliance, METRC management, facility development, staffing, logistics, post-harvest operations, manufacturing, distribution, and multi-site operational leadership.
Secund Look was created to help licensed cannabis businesses solve operational problems, strengthen internal systems, and make better-informed decisions. My consulting is grounded in years spent working inside real facilities, managing real production challenges, and connecting the many moving parts of regulated cannabis operations.
From a First Hoop House to Commercial Operations
My cannabis career began during California’s medical market era, working at remote cultivation sites in the mountains of Humboldt County. Those early operations depended on generator power, well-water systems, forestry-road access, careful preparation, and the ability to solve problems with limited resources.
My first season taught me that cultivation success depends on much more than caring for individual plants. Irrigation, infrastructure, weather, labor, timing, supplies, drying space, and harvest planning all have to work together. A problem in one area can quickly affect the entire production cycle.
That experience created the operational mindset that continues to guide my work today: prepare before problems occur, build repeatable systems, and understand how every part of the business connects.

Learning Every Part of the Operation
As the scale and complexity of the operations increased, so did my responsibilities. Cultivation expanded into nursery production, integrated pest management, harvest coordination, drying and trimming, employee training, inventory control, logistics, facility development, and regulatory compliance.
I managed cultivation employees and post-harvest crews, coordinated production across multiple facilities, supported inspections and licensing, and oversaw METRC activity for cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution operations. I also worked with packaging compliance, product development, procurement, graphic design, and regulated cannabis distribution.
Working across these departments gave me a broader view of cannabis operations. Cultivation decisions affect inventory. Inventory affects METRC. Harvest schedules affect staffing and drying capacity. Facility design affects workflow. Compliance requirements influence nearly every process inside a licensed business.
Building Systems at Commercial Scale
Over time, I moved into operations and administrative leadership for increasingly complex cannabis businesses. My work included remote off-grid farms, multi-facility cultivation, large-scale greenhouse development, nursery systems, manufacturing, distribution, harvest logistics, and post-harvest production.
I became the person ownership relied upon to connect cultivation, compliance, staffing, logistics, inventory, production planning, and facility operations. That often meant translating a broad business goal into organized daily systems that employees could understand and consistently execute.
One of the most important lessons from managing commercial operations is that growth alone does not create a scalable business. Scale requires infrastructure, communication, training, documentation, accountability, and systems capable of functioning even when conditions become difficult.

Why Secund Look Exists
When people work inside the same operation every day, it can become difficult to step back and see where systems are breaking down. Persistent workarounds begin to feel normal. Inefficient workflows become routine. Small compliance or inventory problems can continue until they become expensive operational issues.
Secund Look provides an experienced second perspective. The purpose is not to arrive with a generic consulting package or tell operators to rebuild everything. It is to understand how the business currently functions, identify the problems creating the greatest risk or inefficiency, and help develop systems appropriate for that specific operation.
Sometimes that means providing ongoing METRC and compliance support. In other situations, it may involve evaluating cultivation workflows, preparing for an inspection, planning a facility, improving production systems, or helping leadership organize a complex operation.
